2020 Summer Concert Series- Cancelled

Friends & FAFFERS,

The FAF Coalition has been bringing community together through creative placemaking for 6 years.

We have certainly weathered our share of storms, but these are clearly unprecedented times and, right now, we need to take a pause. Our hearts go out to all of those who are affected by this pandemic, we salute the heroes who are working tirelessly to keep us safe and secure, we hold our local companies in our thoughts & patronize as we can during this time, and we look forward to a safe transition back to a “new normal”.

Songs will be written about these individual’s selflessness and heroism. But, for now, The FAF Coalition can do its part by doing what is contrary to our very existence – commit to not bringing people together.

Though we had hoped at the outset of this crisis to still execute this season’s LOT 323 Music Series, it has become clear that this is not possible, which is why we are writing to let you know that The FAF Coalition Board of Directors reluctantly has decided to cancel the 2020 LOT 323 Summer Concert Series, which was slated to open on May 29th, 2020.

While our Summer series is cancelled, we are currently shifting our focus to improving park infrastructure including; structural bases for the performance stage and new custom-bar container, improved restroom area, artful semi-permanent walls and commissioned art installations, as well as a modified sales container for smooth and easy transactions. Doing what we can during this unprecedented time, will allow us to reopen with a fresh face & functionality for patrons and vendors, increased safety features, as well as eye-catching beautification initiatives.

We would be remiss its we did not mention our tremendous supporters, sponsors & heroes, who continuously make LOT 323 & all FAF Programs possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, take care of your businesses & families- we will come together on the other side.
A specific mention to our 2020 Sponsors and Grantors that are working with us through this new landscape-

We are hopeful that as restrictions are lifted and public gathering rules are defined, we will announce new events for the 2020 FALL Season. The FAF Coalition will continue to work in conjunction with the City of Woodbury on GATHER, as well as leading the Community Heart & Soul initiative, which we are so pleased to have been named as the 6th community awarded by Transform South Jersey.

This is a challenging time and we all face an uncertain future. The FAF Coalition is looking forward to the day when we are once again gathered together to experience the power of the arts & community. Our artists, vendors, audiences and, now more than ever, our kids, need the connection, creativity and community that are the cornerstones of creative placemaking. We can’t wait to welcome you all back to LOT 323, as well as many other budding FAF programs.

We promise – we will be ready for you.
Thank you for your support. Though we are apart right now, we are all still together.

Please be safe!

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. – Margaret Mead
