Design & Execution of Mural Arts for LOT 323, Popup Park
ARTIST REQUIREMENTS
- Experience
- Previous experience in structural & mural arts
- Previous experience in public art
PROJECT DETAILS & CRITERIA
- Mural will be located at LOT 323; 115 S. Broad Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Positioned parallel along Centre Street border.
- Structure for the Mural will be provided by The FAF Coalition
- The mural is 2-sided and has a unique shape. *see schematic attached
- Any preparation of the surface to ready for mural application to be managed by the artist
- Material provided by the Artist
- Execution is the sole responsibility of the artist
- Final Mural Installation (and material used) to have life expectancy of 5 to 10 years.
- Mural Content & Vision
- Side 1 should be creatively branded with “LOT 323”. This will serve as a Landmark for the pop-up park
- Side 2 will complement the park’s design, while encompassing its own unique artists vision
- Both sides of the mural should complement/incorporate LOT 323 branding, as well as The FAF Coalition’s vision of creative placemaking, while respecting the diversity of cultures and new collaboration with the City of Woodbury
GRANT AWARD & COMMISSION
- Artist stipend: $5,250
- 75% will be allocated, when grant is awarded
- 25% will be paid upon completion approval
- Artist will be featured on TheFAF.net & LOT323.com
- The FAF Coalition will document & provide social media coverage throughout the process
- An unveiling event highlighting the work and artist(s) will be hosted by The FAF Coalition (2020 Date TBD—based on completion of project and social distancing regulations)
